Dave Murrie

A skier for 20 years, Dave has skied across Europe, the United States, Canada, Chile and New Zealand. Dave is qualified as an ISIA ski teacher in both the British and Irish Snowsports Associations (IASI). He was part of the IASI team at the Interski Conference 2011 in St. Anton, Austria.

He specialises in applying biomechanics, physiology and psychology to developing personal sports technique, fitness and performance. Dave is an instructor tutor and is employed by BASI to run their ISIA Theory course and to input to the BASI Trainers Conference. He is also a successful coach in Athletics, Football and many other sports; (from American Football, through basketball to Ultra-marathon racing) coaching National, Commonwealth and World championship medalists.

A former Physical Education teacher and trainer of PE teachers, Dave has been the Head of University Sport and Exercise Science Departments in the UK for the past 10 years. His academic fields are coaching sciences & teacher education and he recently returned from creating the first and only, post-Masters degree for professional sports coaches in the USA.

Dave was an athlete prior to taking up skiing and still loves to run on the track and in the mountains.

Dave is English, speaks French, a little German and a few words of Welsh.
